岛屿 island 海洋、湖泊和河流中四面环水的陆地。岛屿可以由基岩组成,也可以由松散堆积物组成。既可以由于构造动力作用而产生,也可以由外动力搬运作用形成。 当地壳运动上升,使原水下的陆地露出水面即可形成岛屿,如中国南方沿海一些小岛;当地壳运动下降,使原水上的陆地部分掩埋于水下,只露出局部被水包围的孤立陆地也可成为岛屿。因海底火山喷发堆积而成的岛屿,叫火山岛。有些则是由珊瑚虫骨骼筑造而成的岛屿,叫珊瑚礁岛。河流、海岸带的泥沙在水力搬运减弱,物质增多的情况下,可堆积为河间岛、江心岛、冲积岛等。沿海的岛屿也可以因为构造断裂而形成。如果断裂方向与岸线平行,所形成的岛屿多与岸线平行,这些平行组合的岛屿群形成了特殊的达尔马提亚式海岸;若断裂与岸线方向垂直,则所形成的岛屿群与岸线垂直,成为里亚斯式海岸。 |
