一对连接肾与膀胱的运输尿液的管道,长25~30cm,位于腹膜后。管壁的肌层经常蠕动,以推送尿液。输尿管有三个生理性狭窄,常为尿路结石发生嵌顿的部位。发生嵌顿时可引起剧烈的绞痛、血尿,X线检查或可发现。婴幼儿输尿管较长而弯曲,管壁肌肉及弹力纤维发育不良,常易扩张并易受压及扭曲而导致梗阻,造成尿潴留而诱发感染。
