药理作用：本品是广泛存在于动物和人体的生理活性物质，在人皮肤、关节滑膜液、脐带、房水及眼玻璃体中均有分布。分子量为500000～730000道尔顿，其溶液具有高黏弹性及仿形性，为眼科手术的辅助剂，药液注入前房后维持一定的眼前房深度，便于手术操作，并有保护角膜内皮细胞及眼内组织，减少手术并发症，促进伤口愈合的作用。
适应证：眼科手术辅助用药，用于白内障囊内、囊外摘除术，人工晶体植入术，青光眼手术，角膜移植术等。
不良反应：术后眼压有短暂升高。
用法用量：内眼手术中充盈前房，0．2ml/次缓慢注入前房内。
注意事项：手术使用时防止充填过量，手术结束后根据需要清除残留药液，术中及术后应密切观察眼内压。本品勿与含洁尔灭的药物接触，以免产生浑浊。若有浑浊停止使用。本品应在遮光、密闭2～8℃下保存。
