Through systematic analysis of domestic and foreign passenger-car equivalents algorithm, we summed up the characteristics and the limitations of various algorithms; for capacity computing needs of a particular longitudinal section of mountain freeway, we proposed the capacity algorithm as an algorithm of passenger-car equivalents in a specific longitudinal mountain freeway.
