The coal gangue dumping site slope is mainly deposited by coal gangue and stony soil, and its stability condition seriously affect the mine’s production and safety.

Based on the example of south dump slope of Anjialing open colliery in Pingshuo,the rule of surface subsidence was studied using FLAC3D.

Through probing into the fire-extinguishing practice in the gangue field of Chengzhuang Coal Mine, this paper makes analysis and comparison of the features of several common fire-extinguishing methods such as the cooling method, the isolating method, and injecting method, etc.
