象山石浦港最早叫荔港，又叫酒吸港，呈弯月型。整个港域被大陆、东门岛、对面山岛、南田岛、高塘岛所环抱，构成一个多口门的封闭型港湾，“里港看不到外海”是它的显著特色。港内虽然封闭，五门水路却畅通无阻。这五道水门便是：铜瓦门、东门、小湾门、林门和三门。“人家住在潮烟里，万里涛声到枕边”这优美的古诗，描绘的正是石浦渔港这样独特的地理风貌。所以，冲着这个渔港，1933年9月，上海的电影艺术家蔡楚生、聂耳、王人美、桑弧等30余人，专程来到石浦，拍摄电影《渔光曲》外景。中国开渔节的开渔仪式也在此举行，几千艘渔轮由此开往外洋，气势十分壮观。石浦港现为全国四大群众渔港之一，对台联络窗口，国家二类开放口岸
