A series of solvents for the debromination of vic-dibromo compounds were studied on the basis of previous research,and we found that stereoselective debromination of vic-dibromo compounds to the corresponding alkenes can be effectively mediated by solvents and Hantzsch ester together or independently in excellent yields.
