延期付款信用证(deferred payment credit),是注明了“延期付款兑现”（available by payment after sight）的信用证。
此种信用证不要求受益人出具远期汇票，因此，必须在证中要明确付款时间。
由于此种信用证不使用远期汇票，故出口商不能利用贴现市场资金，而只能自行垫款或向银行借款。
