胰腺位于上腹部腹膜后,呈长条状,长13~18cm,宽3~5cm,厚1.5~2.5cm,横过第1、2腰椎前方,其上界可达第12胸椎中1/3,下界抵第2~3腰椎椎间盘水平。除包围在十二指肠框内的头部较扁平外,余各部断面大体呈三棱形。胰腺是兼有内分泌和外分泌功能的器官。胰腺的外分泌物称为胰液,由胰腺的腺泡细胞和小的导管管壁细胞所分泌,含有多种重要的消化酶及水、电解质等物质。胰腺的内分泌物主要有胰岛素、胰高血糖素、胃泌素及生长抑素等,与机体内的营养代谢及调节有关。
