昆仑桥又称一步天险桥。位于格尔木南部的昆仑山下，距格尔木市约50公里，是青藏公路上的一大险关。昆仑桥飞架于一步天险之上，全长只有4米多，是一钢筋水泥大桥。昆仑桥之壮观不在大桥本身，而在于桥下的？f岩绝壁和万丈深涧。发源于昆仑山中的由雪水和泉水汇合而成的格尔木河，从海拔4000多米的高山峡谷奔流而下，滔滔的河水将河谷的千板岩长期冲刷穿凿成了一条深40多米、宽数米的石峡险谷，其中最窄处只有4米左右。昆仑桥两岸，绝壁相对，？f岩嶙峋，谷顶平坦，谷底幽深，形势极为险峻。人们站在桥上俯身鸟瞰，但见湍流不息的河水，在深邃险峻的幽谷中急湍喧泻，喷涌咆哮，不断地激起层层雪白的浪花，发出阵阵犹如雷鸣般的轰鸣，真是令人望之目眩，闻之丧胆。因此许多过往行人，一般都要到桥头凭高俯瞰一番。
