性质:一种癌变的浆细胞,又称多发性骨髓瘤细胞。可自发或诱发形成。常用的人工诱发因子是矿物油或塑料片等。例如用降植烷(4-甲基-15-烷)注入小白鼠腹腔,约经4个月可出现瘤,且诱瘤率可达50%~60%。骨髓瘤细胞具有快速增殖能力,能产生大量匀质、单克隆的“免疫蛋白”,但绝大部分都不能与抗原进行特异结合。能产生单克隆抗体的淋巴细胞杂交瘤就是由骨髓瘤细胞和能产某一特定抗体的B淋巴细胞相融合而成的杂种细胞,它兼有两亲本细胞的优点,既能产某一特定抗体,又能快速增殖。
