是指超出人耳听力范围的高频声(频率超过20000Hz)。超声具有与一般声音共同的物理性质,还具有一些其他重要的物理特性,如能够成束发射,直线传导,方向性好。传导过程中遇有声阻抗不同的反射界面时产生反射、折射、聚焦和散焦等现象。用于临床诊断的超声频率一般为2~7.5MHz。频率越高,对组织结构的分辨力越强,但远场声能容易被组织吸收、衰减,不易穿透较深的层次。
