This paper examines the existing research on the definition and classification of single-parent family,the influence of single-parent family on children,single-parent family s poverty and social assistance on this sort of family in the past twenty years.

In the psychology the single-parent family children display reducing love to society,emergence of attack act,over suspiciousness,envy,negative mood,lack of self-confidence,unsteady mood,which easily cause the formation of their abnormal personality.

It s suggested that a breeding model be constructed according to the special features at various stages of development of teenagers with proper apporches so as to shift the love for family to that for other people,and for the nation.
