On the Violation of Co-operative Principle in Speech Communication;

Owing to the violations of Conversational Cooperative Principle(CP) and the violation of the principle,the dialogues in the story Blackmail achieve accurate and precise expression,show the characters and inner worlds of the protagonists in the story more clearly and vividly.

With a comparison of the three terms adopted to describe the relation between humor production and CP,namely,exploitation,deviation and violation,the author proves that humor results from the speakers violation of CP in their conversation.

In China,people often violate the Co-operative Principle unconsciously in daily conversational communication rather than flout it to create unusual conversational implicatureNamely, the CP doesn t hold water universally in interpreting and guiding for understanding Chinese communicative conversation.

However, at present the litigation agency of the law service at the grass-roots level in China not only doesn t conform to the current practice throughout the world, but also violates the stipulations of the three main procedural laws and ”The Law of Lawyers”and”The Law of Legislation”.

The advertisement producers break the Cooperative Principle(CP) and use implicature to achieve better effect and cooperate with the customers in the course of design.
