章衣萍(1900—1947)，乳名灶辉，又名洪熙，绩溪北村人。幼年人蒙堂馆，1908年赴潜阜读书后入安徽省立第二师范学校，1921年入北京大学预科。北大毕业后，在陶行知创办的教育改进社主编教育杂志，上海大东书局任总编辑，与鲁迅筹办《语丝》月刊，系重要撰稿人。1928年任暨南大学校长秘书兼文学系教授，抗战后任成都大学教授，南社和左翼作家联盟成员。著作甚丰，有短篇小说集、散文集、诗集、学术著作、少儿读物、译作和古籍整理等20多部，为现代作家和翻译家。
