湿度：保存种蛋的环境相对湿度以７０－８０％为好。湿度过高，种蛋易生霉；湿度过低，会使种蛋内的水分蒸发加快，影响孵化效果。
翻蛋与通气：种蛋内的蛋黄比重较轻，总是浮在蛋白的偏上部。为防止胚盘与蛋壳粘连，要定期翻蛋，每天最少翻１次，使蛋位转移角度达９０度以上。
