| 南沙群岛 中国南海诸岛四群岛之一。古称万里古塘。北纬3°51′～11°29′，东经109°30′～117°50′。南北长500海里，东西宽400海里。由100多座岛、洲、礁、滩组成，是南海诸岛中位置最南、岛礁最多、分布最广的一群。依地理位置可分为东北群、西北群和南群3部分。主要的岛礁有北子岛、南子岛、中业岛、南钥岛、太平岛、鸿庥岛、景宏岛、西月岛、马欢岛、费信岛、南威岛、曾母暗沙等。曾母暗沙是中国领土的最南端。地形特色是其西北面发育的一连串的大环礁，呈椭圆形，长轴呈东北-西南走向，自北而南分别为双子、永登、乐斯、铁峙、中业、蒙自、道明、郑和、九章环礁等。群岛及其海域有石油、磷矿和水产等资源，还有多种热带经济作物和各种海鸟。
