（术语）因明三相之一。三支之中，望因于宗而示其关系者。盖因必于宗之前陈名辞中，为元来遍有之事件。故因者（宗之前名辞中）有遍是宗法之性之意，是云遍是宗法性。例如谓声无常也（宗），所作性故（因）时，为因之“所作性”，于宗之前名辞“声”中固遍有之是也。
