焦循(1763~1820) 中国清代戏曲理论家,哲学家,数学家。字理堂。江苏扬州人。壮年随阮元作幕宾,嘉庆六年(1801)中举后因母老不应试。母逝,筑雕菰楼闭门著书十余年。博学多才,精于经、史、历、算、声韵、训诂之学。戏曲论著为《剧说》、《花部农谭》。《剧说》6卷,完成于嘉庆十年(1805),是一部纂辑汉、唐以后近200部书籍中有关论曲、论剧的杂录,征引浩繁,多有罕见珍贵史料。《花部农谭》1卷,完成于嘉庆二十四年,是焦循在柳荫豆棚下与乡邻谈论花部剧目的札记,也是中国戏曲理论批评史上第一部研究地方戏的专著。乾隆之后兴起的花部即地方戏曲,文人雅士多以村野俚俗 ,予以鄙薄;而焦循不同流俗,明确提出“梨园共尚吴音” ,而“余独好”花部,从声腔、曲词等方面与昆曲作比较,认为花部声腔慷慨动人,曲词朴质通俗,妇孺能解,有旺盛的生命力。焦循的戏曲观虽杂有封建迂腐的偏见,但总体上说,与封建统治阶级戏曲美学观相左,就当时而言,确实难能可贵。 |
