The thesis paper, based on "the document of jinshi in Ming Dynasty", "the collection of jinshi in Ming Dynasty", "the list of jinshi in Gansu", "the catogry of jinshi in Ming Dynasty", "New document in Gansu"ect, conclues that there were 453 jinshies in Ming and Qing Dynasty, 161 of whom were in Ming Dynasty, the rest were in Qing Dynasty.
文章依据《皇明进士登科考》、《明代进士登科录汇编》、《甘肃进士录》、《明清进士题名碑录索引》、《甘肃新通志》及各地方志等史籍对甘肃明清进士进行细致的统计,确认明清两代甘肃进士共有453人,其中明代161人,清代292人。
