In this present paper,first we colligate almost every viewpoint on the content of the word meaning,second we put forward our opinion that the word meaning consists of two parts depending on its existing situation,one is static meaning and the other is dynamic meaning.

On the basis of the existent research findings, we continue to talk about the change of dynamic meaning.

A dynamic construal approach to novel metaphors in the form of"A is B"divides the whole process into three stages:metaphor cohesion, zone activation and metaphor coherence,which form a successive construal triangle,driven by means of abduction.

This dissertation, on the basis of a wide observation of actual instances of English words chiefly from newspapers, references and dictionaries, is a study of dynamic construal of lexical meaning within the cognitive framework of idealized cognitive models integrated with cognitive frames at the level of cognition.
