This paper attempts to expatiate on the process of verbal communication,which is actually an interplay process of context and utterance:context always plays a role in interpretation and restriction;while utterances are manipulated by communicators to adapt to the“the immediately given context”and reconstruct“the forthcoming context”,so as to reach their communicative intentions.
言语交际的过程,实际上也就是语境与话语双方互动生成的过程:一方面,语境对话语有着制约和释义等多重功能;另一方面,交际双方也总是致力于运用话语改变某些语境因素,并且不断适应和利用“即刻语境”,操纵和构建“即将语境”,从而使交际过程朝着有利于实现各自交际意图的方向发展。
