大夫 古代官员。北宋开始设置此职，其官阶一般为从六品或以下。最高官阶的大夫是保安大夫（从六品）。辽、金、元均相沿袭，名目与官阶均有所变化。元代最高官阶的大夫是保宜大夫（从三品）。另外，自北宋始，北方多称医生为大夫，并延用至今。
