对外贸易量
quantum of foreign trade
一个国家或地区在一定时期（一年、一季或一月）内进口商品和出口商品数量的总和。反映一个国家或地区对外贸易实际规模的一种重要指标。
对外贸易量与对外贸易额，两者都可以反映一国某一时期对外贸易情况的变化。由于贸易额中未剔除价格和货币汇率变动因素，因此，对外贸易额不能确切地反映一国对外贸易的实际变化情况。而对外贸易量则剔除了价格和货币汇率变动因素，因而用贸易量来反映一国或地区一个时期的对外贸易发展变化情况，则比较接近于实际。但由于进出口商品的品种繁多，各类商品的实物计量单位各异，不同种类的计量单位不能相加，人们在计算某国在某个时期的对外贸易量时，一般是从对外贸易额中剔除进出口商品价格变动和所用货币汇率变动的因素，计算出对外贸易量的近似值，用此近似值来反映对外贸易量的实际变化。近似值的计算方法，一般用固定年份为基期的进口或出口价格指数去除当时的进口值或出口值，得出的数值即为出口量或进口量。
对外贸易量一般又以指数来表示，称为对外贸易物量指数。该物量指数的计算方法是：以一定时期为基期的进口量或出口量去除各个时期的进口量或出口量，即得出进口物量指数或出口物量指数。大多数西方工业国家和联合国每年都编制和发表进口或出口物量指数。
