性质：又称土壤钠质化(soil sodication)。土壤吸收性复合体接受一定数量的交换性钠，降低土壤中钙镁含量，使土壤具有一系列碱化特征的过程。在土壤频繁的季节性积盐和脱盐的交替过程中，部分易溶盐中的钠离子代换了吸收复合体中的钙、镁离子而进入土壤，交换性钠占阳离子交换总量的5％以上，土壤开始碱化。土壤碱化以后，物理化学性状恶化，碱化强烈时，使土壤在湿时变得泥泞，干时变得坚硬，通气性、透水性极差，植物不能正常生长。
