形态特征:兰科绶草属植物。陆生兰，高15-50厘米。肉质根，基部生有2-4枚叶,叶条状披针形或条形，长10-20厘长。花序顶生，长10-20厘米，具多数密生的小花，似穗状、呈螺旋状排列，花白色或淡红色、像小龙盘在柱上。蒴果长约5毫米。
生境分布: 生于海拔400-3200米的山坡林下或草地。广布于我国各省区。朝鲜、日本也有。
用途:根或全草入药，能滋阴益气、凉血解毒。
