定销是指出口商通过与定销商签订定销协议，在一定地区和期限内将某种或某类商品交由国外客户销售的方式。出口人对定销人在价格、支付条件和折扣上给予一定的优惠，但不授予货物销售的专营权，即在同一地区和期限内，出口商可以指定几家定销商为其销售货物。定销与包销具有相同之处，即出口商与定销商和包销商之间都是售定性质的买卖关系，定销商也要象包销商一样自垫资金购货，取得商品的所有权，自行销售，自担风险，自负盈亏。
