The Japanese garden is similar to the Chinese garden,in that it is based on the reproduction of natural scenery.

In this research, I analyze that the traditional design technique of the Japanese garden has an influence on the modern landscape design.

The structure and functions of Japanese family have greatly changed in modern times, which are shown in detail as follows: shrinking of family scale, rising of the rate of nuclear family, remaining unchanged of lineal family, one person family suddenly coming to the fore,and coexisting of lineal family and nuclear family.
