腹壁肌肉形成的紧张度。正常人腹壁紧张度适中，触之柔软，无肌紧张征象。当炎症或化学性刺激腹膜时，可使腹肌反射性痉挛而腹壁紧张度增大，如胃肠穿孔、脏器破裂腹膜受刺激时，可使全腹壁紧张度增高，有明显的抵抗感。严重者腹壁硬如木板，称为板状腹。全腹紧张度增加，触之如揉面团一样，称"揉面感"或"柔韧感"。常见于结核性腹膜炎。局限性腹壁紧张常为该处腹内脏器的炎症侵及邻近腹膜所致，如右下腹壁紧张多见于急性阑尾炎。右上腹壁紧张多为急性胆囊炎。腹壁紧张度减弱和消失，见于慢性消耗性疾病，腹肌瘫痪和重症肌无力等。
