| 康复中心 rehabilitation centre 为因生理或心理上的缺陷导致劳动、生活和学习严重障碍者提供医治、训练与服务的医疗机构。康复是指综合地协调地应用医学的、社会的、教育和职业的措施对患者进行训练，减轻致残因素造成的后果，使其活动能力达到尽可能高的水平。因此康复中心担负着对伤病者和残疾者在身体功能上、精神上和职业上进行康复医治、训练的任务，所运用的康复医学是一门涉及众多基础科学、临床科学和社会科学学科的跨科性的综合学科。通过治疗与训练，使弱能者能够按其弱能程度，充分发挥其体力、智力及社交能力，使只有部分的器官和组织的残病者最大限度地达到不完全残废，使身体留有的功能发挥最有效的作用。
