Objective To explore the causes and methods of social medicine overtaking situation of Guangdong Province university.

Based on an analysis of the present situation of free medical service for college students in China,this paper attempts to pinpoint the major problems inherent in the current practice: monopoly caused by the planned economy,insufficient coverage,and technological inadequacy of college hospitals.
