| 微波炉 microwave oven 利用微波辐射烹饪食物的厨房电器。第二次世界大战期间已发现微波烹饪的原理，直到1946年才进行试制，次年美国雷声公司的P.L.斯潘塞获得了第一个微波炉的专利。1955年美国泰潘公司将微波炉推向市场。1975年阿满纳公司首次推出采用微处理器的微波炉，具有10种烹饪速度和4种烹饪程序。在许多经济发达国家，微波炉普及率很高，已成为主要的家用电器。微波炉主要由壳体、整流装置、磁控管、波导、加热室等组成。交变电流经电源变压器升压到10千伏左右后，再经高压电容器和整流器整流、滤波，变为直流电输给磁控管。在磁控管内电能转换为微波能，经波导传输到金属板制作的加热室。安装在加热室顶部的微波搅拌器缓慢转动，使微波在加热室内均匀分布。微波在加热室内来回反射，不断被食物吸收，加热食品。炉门设有特殊的密封结构，以保证微波泄漏不超过允许值。采用微波炉加热食物比普通加热方法快几倍到几十倍。
