| 紫苏 Perilla frutescens；purpleperilla 唇形科紫苏属的一种。紫苏、白苏均因栽培而起源，未见有野生。叶全绿的为白苏，叶两面紫色或面青背紫的为紫苏。一年生草本。茎被长柔毛。叶片宽卵形或圆形，先端短尖或突尖，边缘有粗锯齿，两面紫色或上面青色下面紫色，有毛；轮伞花序2花，组成顶生和腋生、偏向一侧、密被长柔毛的假总状花序；每花有一苞片，苞片宽卵圆形或近圆形；花萼钟状，下部被长柔毛，有黄色腺点，果时增大，基部一边肿胀，檐部二唇形，上唇宽大，3齿，下唇2齿；花冠常粉红至紫红，上唇微缺，下唇3裂，中裂片较大。小坚果近球形，灰褐色，具网纹。紫苏供药用和香料用，叶为发汗、镇咳、芳香性健胃利尿剂，有镇痛、镇静、解毒作用，可治感冒，种子能镇咳、祛痰、平喘、去闷。叶又供食用，和肉类煮熟可增加香味。种子油（白苏尤多）供食用，又有防腐作用。 |
