Analysis of sonagraph and spectrum of songbird (Carpodacus erythrinus grebnitskii);

In order to study the characteristics of thermoregulation in Scarlet grosbeak(Carpodacus erythrinus),their standard metabolic rate(SMR),body temperature(Tb),body weight were measured at several ambient temperature(Ta) 5～25℃,and thermal conductance were calculated.

Phylogeny of 13 Carpodacus species and Urocynchramus pylzowi were analyzed based on mitochondrial cytochrome b and c-myc genes.

Due to different diet and nest shrub height, Pink-rumped Rosefinch Carpodacus eos and Streaked Rosefinch Carpodacus rubicilloides had different niches although both species overlapped to a great extent.
