指身体发育正常而性发育过程被阻抑者。临床上将女性18岁,男性20岁尚无性征发育者定为本病。先天性性腺(卵巢,睾丸)发育不全,性腺损害、下丘脑-垂体损害、甲状腺功能低下、染色体异常等均可造成本病。
