| 羊毛 wool 人类在纺织上最早利用的天然纤维之一。人类利用羊毛的历史可追溯到新石器时代，由中亚细亚向地中海和世界其他地区传播，遂成为亚洲和欧洲的主要纺织原料。羊毛纤维柔软而富有弹性，可用于制做呢绒、绒线、毛毯、毡呢等生活用和工业用的纺织品。羊毛制品有手感丰满、保暖性好、穿着舒适等特点。绵羊毛在纺织原料中占有相当大的比重。世界绵羊毛产量较大的国家有澳大利亚、前苏联、新西兰、阿根廷、中国等。绵羊毛按细度和长度分为细羊毛、半细毛、长羊毛、杂交种毛、粗羊毛等5类。中国绵羊毛品种有蒙羊毛、藏羊毛、哈萨克羊毛。评定羊毛品质的主要因素是细度、卷曲、色泽、强度以及草杂含量等。
