中国猪的地方品种。产于广东珠江三角洲的顺德、南海、番禺等县。有早熟易肥、能适应炎热潮湿气候、产仔多、杂交效果好等特点。历史上系中原地区人民大规模南迁时将中原猪种带到南方，与当地猪杂交并经长期选育而成。体型中等，耳大下垂，颈短多肉，背腰微凹，腹较大，四肢粗壮。毛色为黑白花，背和体侧有大小不等的黑斑，腹部和四肢为白色(见彩图)。乳头多为7对。成年公猪平均体重130千克,母猪110千克。性成熟早，小公猪50日龄时已出现游离精子。小母猪初情期约为3月龄,4～6月龄可配种受胎。经产母猪每胎平均产仔13头，初生重0.7千克。 大花白猪与巴克夏公猪和陆川公猪杂交，杂种后裔的肥育性能提高。与长白猪、杜洛克和汉普夏等公猪杂交，则杂种后裔的胴体瘦肉率和增重速度明显提高。
