中国游泳运动的全国性群众组织，是中华全国体育总会领导下的单项运动协会之一。中国游协下设游泳、跳水、水球3 个项目的裁判委员会和教练委员会，分别负责竞赛、裁判、组织和技术、训练、科研等具体工作。20多年来，中国游协多次组织裁判员、教练员以及科研人员参加各种学术活动，经常通过报纸、电台、电视台宣传游泳、跳水、水球、花样游泳运动的知识和成就，并且协助国家体委举办各种比赛，修改、审定各项竞赛规则及裁判法，考核国家级裁判，组建国家队参加国际比赛。中国游协成立于1956年，现任主席是张希让。
