粗铅的火法精炼中提取金、银的一种方法，是英国人派克斯（A.Parkes）在1850年发明的。锌与银易按下式

生成极难溶于铅液的化合物。在约550℃时,向含银的铅熔体加入适量的锌（达铅量的2％）,搅拌铅液，稍许冷却后，银与锌生成浮于铅液表面的银锌壳。金和锌的亲合力比银强，当粗铅中含有金时，可先加入少量锌以分离金，然后再次加锌以除银。
