意大利画家。生于佛罗伦萨，1475年12月10日卒于同地。原名保罗·迪多诺。1413年入L.吉贝尔蒂的作坊学习金银工艺。1414年加入画家行会。现存作品皆作于30年代中期以后。他一度赴帕多瓦等地作画，但创作活动主要集中在佛罗伦萨。1436年，在佛罗伦萨大教堂作壁画《约翰·华克伍德像》，这幅画透视表现极其精确，构图雄伟自然。1445～1447年间又在圣玛丽亚诺韦拉教堂的绿色回廊上绘制一组壁画。40年代末他创作装饰于美第奇宫中卧室的一组3幅屏画。此画取材于发生在1432年6月,佛罗伦萨军小胜邻城锡耶纳部队的圣罗马诺战役。乌切洛借此题材表现了他的写实技巧和透视画法的成就。3幅画依次表示还击、交锋和退敌的情节,是大胆运用透视画法的又一杰作。乌切洛重透视法的倾向对日后佛罗伦萨画派的影响甚大。
