意大利指挥家。1941年 7月28日生于那不勒斯。曾在那不勒斯音乐学院学习，又入那不勒斯大学攻读哲学。由于在大学音乐会上指挥成功，促使他到米兰音乐学院学习5年，从B.贝蒂内利学作曲,从A.沃托学指挥。1967年在圭多·坎泰利国际指挥比赛中获奖。从此，他先后在罗马、佛罗伦萨、那不勒斯、费城、伦敦等地的著名乐团担任指挥。擅长于指挥G.威尔迪、G.罗西尼等意大利歌剧作曲家的作品，并以具有敏锐的节奏感见称。
