中国突厥语族语言研究者的群众性学术团体。中国民族语言学会的团体会员之一。 成立于1980年1月12日，会址设在北京。研究会设理事会，首届会长为包尔汉。现有维吾尔、哈萨克、柯尔克孜、撒拉、裕固、乌孜别克、 塔塔尔、回、锡伯、朝鲜、汉等民族的会员250名。其宗旨是：促进突厥语文工作的发展，加强会员的互相学习和协作，通过国内和国际的各种学术活动，互通情况，交流经验，提高中国突厥语文研究水平。
