      鞭毛菌亚门的 1纲。本纲真菌具后生单鞭毛游动孢子或能动配子,繁殖时需要凝结水。多数生在水中,少数生在潮湿土壤的木膜中,有的寄生在藻类或其他陆生植物上。有性生殖多样,典型的产生休眠孢子囊。根据菌体的结构、菌体与基物的关系、菌体的发育方式、游动孢子的油滴以及有性生殖的方式,本纲下分壶菌目、肋壶菌目、芽枝菌目和单毛菌目4目,共14科100属、约400种。本纲直接经济意义不大。肿囊壶菌等寄生并毁损藻类,而这些藻类是水生动物食物链的一环。油壶菌属、集壶菌属和节壶菌属可使经济植物患病。异水霉属和小芽枝霉属曾被E.C.坎蒂诺(1959)等人用作研究真菌形态建成的材料。多形单毛菌的不动雌配子与能动雄配子的配合方式,在真菌中独具特色。长雌异水霉有孢子体和配子体交替的现象。雕蚀菌属的许多种均能侵染蚊类幼虫,可望用于蚊虫的生物防治。
