Based on the theories of soil and water conservation,ecology,and eco-economics,the ecological service provided by biological management was defined as the maintaining,improving,and protecting effects to the human beings and their conditions.
本研究以水土保持学、生态学、生态经济学理论为指导,认为水土保持林草措施生态服务功能是指该措施对维持、改良和保护人类及人类社会赖以生存的自然环境条件的综合效用,包括保持和涵养水源、保持和改良土壤、维持生物多样性、固碳供氧、净化空气和防风固沙等6项功能。
补充资料：水土保持林业技术措施
在水土流失或有水土流失危险的地区，利用天然林或通过恢复、培育森林达到防治水土流失目的的措施。它与水土保持农业技术措施、水土保持牧业技术措施、水土保持工程技术措施结合，构成完整的综合治理体系（见水土保持）。按照总体规划的要求和适地适树的原则，考虑到土壤侵蚀的形式和程度，可以因地制宜、因害设防地配置和营造的林种有水源涵养林、水土保持林、防坡林、沟道防护林、固沙林、牧场防护林和护岸护滩林等。（见彩图）
