中世纪匈牙利农民反封建起义，领导者是出身小贵族的边防军军官多热·哲尔吉。因起义者身佩十字架,又称"十字军战士起义"。1514年 4月16日，埃斯泰尔戈姆主教鲍科茨·塔马什宣读罗马教皇圣谕，宣布组织十字军讨伐土耳其。因怨恨土耳其人的不断骚扰，广大农民踊跃应征。几天之内在佩斯城下就聚集了 4万人，这支队伍被封建主视为隐患，强迫解散，未遂。继而在不发给养的情况下,驱使他们与土耳其人作战,起义由是爆发。不久，起义席卷匈牙利全境和当时隶属匈牙利的特兰西瓦尼亚。起义军在采格莱德市发表反封建纲领，宣布消灭农奴制度,实现社会平等,建立共和国。城市贫民、学生以及小手工业者纷纷参加起义。起义军接连攻克几座重要城镇。贵族纠集反动联军，进行疯狂反扑。经过两个多月的鏖战,同年7月起义军失败。多热被残酷杀害，约5万起义农民被处死。
