国际档案理事会所编系列手册之一。1984年在国际档案理事会1964年所编《档案术语词汇》的基础上编辑出版。词典汇集了国际档案界通用的 500余个术语作为基本概念，给予相应的定义。术语用英、法两种文字定义，按字母顺序排列，再依次列出荷、德、意、俄、西文等语种的对应术语，并附有诸语种的索引和英文参见条。该词典具有国际标准的意义，使用率高，查阅方便，对促进世界各国档案交流、提高档案学研究水平有积极作用。1988年中国据此编译出版《英汉法荷德意俄西档案术语词典》。
