女性盆腔附件属中医胞脉之系,其炎症与中医外科之体表疮疡、肿疡、溃疡及体内脏腑组织间的内痈、内疡可视为同属之类,故提出将现代医学中盆腔炎命名为中医学"胞脉痈疡";将外科"消、托、补"三大内治法则援用于"胞脉痈疡"的分期治疗中。
