补充资料：深度基准面
海图所载水深的起算面，又称海图基准面。水深测量通常在随时升降的水面上进行，因此不同时刻测量同一点的水深是不相同的，这个差数随各地的潮差大小而不同，在一些海域十分明显。为了修正测得水深中的潮高，必须确定一个起算面，把不同时刻测得的某点水深归算到这个面上，这个面就是深度基准面（见图）。深度基准面通常取在当地多年平均海面下深度为L的位置。求算深度基准面的原则,是既要保证舰船航行安全,又要考虑航道利用率。由于各国求L值的方法有别，因此采用的深度基准面也不相同（见表）。
中国在1956年以后采用理论深度基准面（即理论最低潮面）。
