轻子 不参与强相互作用的自旋为1/2的粒子,包括电子、μ子、τ子和同它们相伴的中微子γe、γμ、γτ以及所有这些粒子的反粒子。在τ子未发现之前,这类粒子的成员质量都较轻,故称为轻子。1975年发现τ子 ,其质量为电子的3492倍,称为重轻子。轻子参与弱相互作用和电磁相互作用,在轻子参与的这两种相互作用过程中存在守恒的量子数,称为轻子数,电轻子数、μ轻子数和τ轻子数分别守恒。现有的实验精度下,分辨不出轻子的内部结构,轻子的行为类似点粒子。粒子物理中流行的观点认为,轻子和夸克属于物质结构的同一层次。 |
