物种特征:描述：中等体型（22厘米）而多具杂斑的褐色滨鹬。腿黄，嘴具两色并略为下弯，胸部纵纹密布并突然中止于白色腹部。白色眉纹模糊，顶冠近褐。繁殖期雄鸟胸部偏黑。幼鸟胸部纵纹沾皮黄色。冬季鸟赤褐色较少。飞行时两翼显暗，翼略具白色横纹，腰及尾上具宽的黑色中心部位。嘴比尖尾滨鹬长。 虹膜－褐色；嘴－嘴基黄而嘴端黑；脚－黄色。 叫声：叫声为浑厚低沉的churk或trrit声。 分布范围：繁殖于俄罗斯极地、西伯利亚及北美洲；越冬于南美洲、澳大利亚及新西兰。分布状况：罕见过境鸟。1986年在香港第一次记录到。自此偶尔有鸟经过。有可能为定期过境鸟但被忽视。在河北北戴河、东南部及台湾均有一次记录。 习性：取食于湿润草甸、沼泽地及池塘边缘。
